Italian phrase of the day: Mi aiuti a pulire?
In the past I always used to be the one cleaning the flat, no idea why. Fortunately we both have a remarkably high tolerance to dirt. Perhaps I'm just the one who gives in earlier and gets scrubbing.
Pulisco sempre io
It is always me who cleans
Literally: Clean always I
These days cleaning is at the very bottom of my priorities. The flat looks OK because it is tidy, but clean it is not.
Dr B. is keen to get a cleaner, but I find that unnecessary, because our flat is small, uncluttered and therefore very easy to clean. Alas, it is not self-cleaning (although we are thinking of getting a Roomba robot vacuum cleaner).
So every now and then we invite people over, and then we have to clean, and Dr B. helps too.
Mi aiuti a pulire?
Can you help me clean?
Literally: Me help to/at clean?
