I'm already a big fan of The Arcade Fire (No Cars Go has been on my gym playlist since the album came out last month) and LCD Soundsystem (I run to their track 45:33 which they did for Nike +, but I am still warming up to Sound of Silver). They are #32 and #15 in last week's chart respectively, both sliding down a few places. Thank you for the recommendations Mike.

Five years ago, I only listened to indie music, and there were virtually no female vocalists in my collection. Then I met a boyfriend whose tastes were similar to mine, but just that bit 'gayer', and I started making compilation CDs for him, searching for music I knew he'd like. And I discovered I liked it, too.
