Ryanair is considering banning passengers from checking in luggage. The argument is that their flights are so cheap, people can afford to buy a hair-dryer during their holidays and leave it there.
The airline has also ordered cheaper aircraft without window blinds, headrests, seat pockets or reclining seats. I shall overlook the inconvenience, as long as it still flies to my mother's backyard (literally). Once there, Dr B. and I can choose among a wide variety of clothes from my past, spanning twenty-odd years, from preppy to goth to contemporary via grunge and camp - all in sizes 32 to 36. And, should we receive a surprise invitation to a fancy dress party while we are there, we can always borrow one of my brother's habits.
