Oh, this is so unexpected, I've got nothing prepared…
* turns around, dabs tears with cuff, faces the audience again * I am truly honoured. And chuffed. Thank you. It feels great to have some recognition at last. I'd like to thank the members of the jury for their kind words - I'm glad you also think it's a shame that metadata is too often overlooked. Oh, and everybody at the recruitment agency for finding me this job. And, of course, the people of New Zealand. I would not be here today if it wasn't for Dr B. though. He has been a star and supported me morally - and physically, quite literally - through the hard times of the past few months. He backed me up when I took the gamble of leaving my previous occupation and jumped back into a cruel job market with plenty of uncertainty and very high expectations. I know I'm not out of the woods yet. However, I am filled with pride as I find out that the website I've been working on for the past two months has scooped the first prize at a recent major international design awards ceremony on Friday night. My contribution towards it is tiny. Its contribution to my personal development is priceless. Thank… * orchestra drowns last few words as the alloted time runs out *
