lost

Picture of lost cat #01Picture of lost cat #02Picture of lost cat #03Picture of lost cat #04Dr B. found a cat outside his front door. It looked lost and scared and did not move all day. He put some water for it to drink, and in the evening, since it was still there, he took it upstairs for the night.

Here are a few pictures that he has emailed me (click on them for larger views); if you know of someone who's lost (or, as we fear, has abandoned) this cat, get in touch before the RSPCA comes to collect her.

She seems to be a young female, roughly three months old, toilet-trained and obviously not used to set foot in the great wilderness. She is wearing a blue flea collar. And she is the sweetest thing. And she shouldn't be just for Christmas.

Does Dr B. live near Harrow? Does the cat have a pathetic Meow? I saw a sign up for a missing tabby at the weekend

  2. Dr B Says:

The cat was found on the corner of Globe Road and Digby Street in Bethnal Green, East London. As she is a healthy cat the recomendation from the RSPCA is that I leave her outside, which I have just done.

But you could have practised your Hungarian cat-catching skills.

The cat has gone; 'given' away to a passing woman by the ground floor OAP couple who were finding the poor little thing “a nuisance”. I was in the process of getting the cats protection league over when I found this out so I was a little miffed, particularly when I found out the rigorous interviewing techniques used:

[Random woman (possibly working for the fur trade)]
“I’ve been looking for a coat, sorry CAT like that for ages.”
    “Can I have her?”

    [OAP Couple]
    “Yes”

Maybe I can use the same technique to get rid of the old couple. Anybody want a pink wrinkly cagoule that smells slightly of stale piss?
