The king is dead. Long live the king.

Owing to the fact that my database is a mySQL version 3.mickeymouse, it only took Dr B. a little over four hours to migrate the existing comments to Movable Type.

Dr B. is a star. So is Movable Type. Happy happy joy joy.

There still is some minor tweaking to be done, namely twenty recent comments that have to be manually linked to the posts (thanks Blogger for the new 15 million digit IDs), and some work on the archive pages (banner and picture links).

If you find anything else wrong with the site, please let me know. Everything should look like it always has, apart from the comments that now open in a new window, for the sole purpose of making David and Steve happy.

Oh, and that XML RSS RDS thingy that's all the rage now but very few truly understand what it is for.

update: Mostly fixed now.
