Amlie Zorro... et le beau MathieuThis week definitely seems to have a South African flavour to it: after the lovely twenty-four hours spent with a lekker SA man on Saturday and Sunday (and no, I have not photocopied dozens of picture of myself dressed as Zorro Amlie-style with my phone number to be posted in his neighbourhood), I have twice used public computers that revealed SA news websites under the screensaver, I have learnt some SA slang courtesy of Swish Cottage, and I've just now read David's memoirs on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of his move to SA.

I love learning something new about countries I do not know. I find it extremely fascinating. I wish I could spend all my time doing just that.

Madonna has spoken to me (and I don't mean the Virgin Mary).
I downloaded her latest single Die Another Day from this website (link via Jonathan) and these words provided some inspiration for me to start a new life of chastity and spirituality:

For every sin, I'll have to pay
A time to work, a time to play

I'm gonna suspend my senses
I'm gonna delay my pleasure
I'm gonna close my body now

Just kidding.

A few weeks ago I met a guy, let's call him Gareth, went back to his place and – well, use your imagination. The following day I found out he's a very good friend of a friend of mine (we'll call him Darius). We met a couple of times after that.

Last Saturday I went at Darius' place for pre-Fridge birthday drinks (Darius' birthday coincided with the Fridge's 10th anniversary). I was tactfully informed by my friend Darius that Gareth would be there with his American boyfriend.

I had spent the night (playing charades, obviously) with an American the previous Sunday and would have just loved to see both their faces as they were introduced to me but it sadly turned out to be a young lad called Will (the name has been changed) and to not to be the same American I'd met.

It's not such a small world after all.

My flatmate saw me at the RVT on Sunday lasciviously licking somebody's black leather belt while it was held up in the air. I have absolutely no recollections of that episode.

Could any of you guys reassure me and confirm that it is not true? I hate losing control and not remember afterwards.
