nearly
You look for something all your life and never seem to find it. Somehow you come to terms with the idea that it might not even exist, and that you're chasing rainbows. Or you start thinking that you might have found it but overlooked it because you were focused on something else.
Then you find it. It's there next to you, it fits you like a glove and you cannot remember having been bursting so much with emotions ever before. And you actually let go and relax, you sleep late, take naps and slow down your pace. You start wondering about what wonderful things the future might bring to you.
But then you stop, because you know very well that you cannot have it - or rather, it has an expiry date on it. So you try with all your forces to just enjoy the moment, no matter what will happen.
Bugger.
Update: and then you get home, Sept. 11th 2001 is all over the telly, your friend from NYC is watery-eyed in front of it, and it all suddenly goes back into perspective.
