Things that make you go AAARGH:
- a 20-minute conversation with my Italian accountant's secretaries who have received a two-page form to fill in (in English) for the reference check for the apartment - they do not speak English and the boss (apparently the only person in the office with some sort of foreign language skills) won't be back until this afternoon;
- crossing the city twice on very short notice (so short that I only ironed the front of my shirt) for job interviews - one crap, the other very promising (although slightly above my means, but they don't need to know, do they?);
- booking the movers on the only available slot on such short notice: Friday at the break of dawn;
- finding out that Berlusconi is being proposed for a Nobel peace prize - surely some sort of very sick joke?
- being woken up by G. going to work at 6.30 so that I can lock the door behind him (we're sharing one set of keys) and now receiving a phonecall from him saying that he accidentally took the keys with him;
- having practically established that yes, I seem to have given up smoking, refusing to light up to cope with all the above.
