After reading much about it at the Swish Cottage, and just 24 hours after arriving in London for the 2nd UK leg of the world tour that my life seems to be, I finally made it to the Dame Edna Experience at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. And yes, it was quite an experience. Not just your ordinary drag cabaret act - funny and witty and outrageous and in yer face alright, but also incredibly talented (those voices and impersonations!) and an outstanding singer (can anyone tell me what the last song before the final encore was? It sounded sort of Liza Minnelli-esque to me).

And then of course I succumbed to the fascination of the RVT itself: the men, the lovely green at the back to chill out, the music that kept me dancing for just under 5 hours…

If you were there, I was the boy with a shaved head, a goatee, a tight black t-shirt and a leather wristband. Scrap that, I just realized it fits 98% of the male population in there! Scrap this too, at least I kept my t-shirt on at (almost) all times.

Well, I should stick with that description, if I were you. It certainly aroused my attention! ;-)
